A |     New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday released the 12th instalment amount of Rs 16,000 crore to eligible farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) through Direct Benefit Transfer.

He inaugurated a two-day event 'PM Kisan Samman Sammelan' at Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

Addressing the gathering, the prime minister said, "I congratulate the farmers and their family members for having received the 12th installment today under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi through Direct Benefit Transfer ahead of Deepawali."

Under the scheme, eligible farmer families are provided a benefit of Rs 6000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each.

So far, eligible farmer families have received benefits of more than Rs 2 lakh crore under PM-KISAN.

The Prime Minister termed the scheme a transformational initiative.

During the event, Modi also inaugurated 600 Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Under the scheme, the fertilizer retail shops in the country will be converted into Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras in a phased manner.

Pradan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras will cater to a wide variety of needs of the farmers and provide agri-inputs (fertilizers, seeds, implements); testing facilities for soil, seeds, fertilizers; generate awareness among farmers; provide information regarding various government schemes and ensure regular capacity building of retailers at block and district level outlets, the PMO said.

More than 3 lakh retail fertilizer shops are planned to be converted into PMKSK.

"From today, the work will start to convert over 3.15 lakh fertilizer shops into Pradhan Mantri Samruddhi Kendras. These Kendras will be a one stop solution catering to all requirements of our annadatas," the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister also launched Bharat Urea Bags, which will help companies market fertilizers under the single brand name Bharat.

"Through One Nation One Fertilizer, urea will now be available under one brand name - Bharat. This will ensure farmers do not undergo confusion and there is consistency in the quality of fertilizers," the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition.



About 300 startups will showcase their innovation related to Precision Farming, Post-Harvest and Value Add Solutions, Allied Agriculture, Waste to Wealth, Mechanisation for Small Farmers, Supply Chain Management, Argi-Logistic, among others.

The platform would facilitate startups to interact with farmers, FPOs, agri-experts, corporates etc. Startups will also share their experience and interact with other stakeholders in technical sessions.

During the event, Modi also launched ‘Indian Edge’, an e-magazine on fertilizer.

It will provide information on domestic and international fertilizer scenarios, including recent developments, price trends analysis, availability and consumption, success stories of farmers, among others.

C | 《新明日报》连日来报道，上周五（16日）中午12时许，15名中国游客因疑似未购买新加坡旅行社旅巴司机出售的纪念品，被遗弃在路边。事后，新加坡旅游局已对涉事的各方展开调查。

D | 另外，中国驻新加坡大使馆也呼吁，希望狮城旅游从业者与中国旅行社，共同维护中国公民在新旅行的安全与良好氛围。知情的新加坡旅游业者告记者，上述的旅游团，其实在业内被称作“购物团”，游客一般通过中国旅社报名，抵达新加坡后，再由本地旅社安排导游，带领他们前往指定的特产店。业者向记者出示一张中国旅行社的宣传单，上面显示，6天4夜的新马游，一人只需付3998人民币（约740新元），其中包含了往返机票、酒店住宿、餐食、交通与导游服务。“行程中，一般安排游览的景点基本无需门票，例如小印度、牛车水、哈芝巷，或是安排游客到圣淘沙自由活动。”她补充说，由于预算非常紧，司机与导游的薪酬不高，因此接待这类团的本地旅社会默许司机或导游通过售卖一些小件纪念品来赚取外快。“相比与旅行社合作的购物店，司机或导游售卖的纪念品很可能是最便宜的，像是钥匙圈、冰箱贴等小物件。”根据网上贴文，今年6月出行新马的旅游团，每人最低只需付629新元团费外加60新元小费，但需签署参观购物店的协议。

E | （互联网）随著购物团增加，或许一些司机工作量增大，难免会感到不满。业者指出：“尽管司机不该将情绪发泄在乘客身上，但问题根源仍在一开始的安排。”记者上网查询，发现确实有不少中国旅行社在社媒上推广新马旅游团。据观察，6天4晚的行程价格大多在2500至4000元人民币（约460至740新元）之间，甚至注明包含了一切开销。另外，有一份即将在9月出发的行程，就显示每人的团费为3399人民币，但还需额外支付约60新元的导游小费与酒店税金，游览景点包括福康宁山、滨海艺术中心和花柏山等无需入门票的地点。

F | 据悉，游客出行前还需签署一份协议，说明旅行期间须参观本地两家购物店，包括售卖珠宝、保健品、土特产与药油等的商店。相比非购物团　价格相差一倍一名从业10多年的销售总监透露，如果并非购物团，一般4天3晚行程，每人费用至少是1400新元，当中还不包括往返机票。“我们通常会安排两天让旅客自由活动，行程还会包括环球影城、动物园等景点。另外，也可以根据游客的需求量身定制行程。”她说，多数旅社都为游客提供免费的饮用水，但购物团的顾客就必须自备，或是花钱购买。6天4夜新马游　仅住新加坡一晚据《新明日报》获得一份6天4晚的新马游行程安排，游客在第一天下午入境新加坡后，会先去游览圣淘沙与滨海湾花园，跟着在本地酒店入住一晚。第二天，游客被带去参观鱼尾狮、赞美广场、哈芝巷与小印度等地，随后马上乘车前往马六甲。第三天，游客在马六甲参观一些景点后，乘车前往吉隆坡。第四天，游客会乘坐缆车前往云顶，并参观吉隆坡的一些地标景点，如双峰塔和默迪卡大楼等。

G | 第五天，游客将从吉隆坡经新山返回新加坡，并在樟宜机场结束行程。由于航班安排，游客在第六天才会回到中国。对此，受访的女业者表示，由于新加坡酒店房费偏高，购物团通常都只在本地停留一晚。“停留的时间越长，成本也就越高，因此旅行社往往都会把行程安排得非常紧凑。”旅游局：导游不能强迫购物赚佣金新加坡旅游局发言人指出，若行程中明确标注出活动，导游可以带团员完成行程。不过，根据执照注明的条件，导游不能强迫游客购物赚取佣金。据了解，新加坡的一项条规就列明，持有执照的导游，不能为任何人招揽生意，或收取任何佣金、费用、礼物或相关物品，以当做带旅客光顾生意的回报。
